Animals are just the cutest little creatures on the planet. That's a scientific fact, or at least it should be, considering how often their adorable faces help them escape punishment.
A dog can eat out of a trash container and smear all those juicy leftovers across the kitchen, dig up an old dinosaur bone in the backyard, and then leave mysteriously uncleanable paw prints on the couch. Still, all it takes is one single head tilt, and he's completely absolved of all his sins. Same goes for cats, even though they are much bolder. They'll knock a glass off the table while maintaining direct eye contact, then stroll away as if they've just completed an important household task.
Fortunately, pets and animals in general don't only bring chaos into our lives. They also provide free entertainment, usually when nobody asked for it.
This is especially true whenever you whip out your camera and prepare to take a photo.
You might be trying to capture a romantic vacation snapshot, a peaceful family moment, or the one Christmas card where everyone is finally looking in the same direction. But somewhere nearby, an animal is preparing to make the entire picture about itself.
Sometimes it's a horse pushing its enormous head into the frame. Sometimes it's a dog just peacefully taking a dump in the background. And occasionally, it is a wild fish displaying its stunning smile at precisely the right moment.
Looking through these photos, one might wonder whether animals understand what they're doing. Probably not. Then again, cats certainly behave like they understand everything and are simply refusing to explain it.
